Lily Tang Williams, born in China to working-class parents who endured the hardships of Mao’s Cultural Revolution and Communist rule, found her long-sought freedom in America. With just $100 in her pocket and limited English skills, she tirelessly pursued her American dream, achieving a happy marriage, raising three children, and establishing successful businesses in New Hampshire, a place she values for its spirit of liberty. However, she now expresses concern that her descendants may not enjoy the same opportunities she had, as she witnesses the rise of authoritarianism in the United States. Drawing parallels between current political actions and her experiences in China, she fears the erosion of individual rights, parental autonomy, and economic freedom. Williams is determined to protect the American Dream by standing up against what she sees as a growing threat from the radical left, aiming to preserve the nation she loves for future generations.
