Constitutional attorney, former prosecutor, and author KrisAnne Hall, who travels across the country educating people about the U.S. Constitution and American history, is raising the alarm about a deliberate assault on our liberties.
CCTV (closed-circuit television) and CCTV-based social credit system, like what we see in China and creeping into parts of Europe, is not just a policy mistake —
It is a direct assault on the Constitution, and a threat to American liberty itself.
This article warned about China’s draconian social credit system many years ago, which is very different than the financial credit scoring system that most Americans are familiar with: https://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/video/social-credit-system-coming-to-china-with-citizens-scored-on-behavior-59458117685
Hall gives four powerful explanations on how our liberties are threatened by this surveillance system:
-
- They Destroy Your Freedom of Religion, Free Speech, and Assembly Rights
Imagine watching what you say online—or whether you attend a protest—because you know the government is watching and scoring your behavior.
That’s not freedom.
That’s self-censorship under surveillance, and it violates your right to speak, worship, assemble, and dissent.
-
- They Wipe Out Your Fourth Amendment Protections
A government that tracks your every move with cameras and AI treats you as guilty until proven innocent.
That’s not safety.
That’s mass surveillance without a warrant, which the Constitution flatly forbids.
-
- They Dismantles Due Process and Equal Justice
With CCTV and a social credit system, your score can silently drop. You could lose your job, your access to credit, or the ability to travel—without notice, trial, or appeal.
That’s not justice.
That’s government by algorithm, not by law.
-
- They Violate the Essential American Standard- The Constitution was written to restrain government and protect you.
CCTV and a social credit system flips that—it puts government in control of your choices, your movements, even your thoughts.
That’s not America.
That’s a digital dictatorship in disguise.
This Is Not a Future Problem—It’s a Present Danger
Some politicians, agencies, and private companies are already experimenting with behavioral tracking, ESG scoring, digital IDs, and AI-driven surveillance.
These are the building blocks of a social credit system—and they must be rejected now, before they take root.
Every citizen who cherishes their liberty “must take action” to defend them, lest they be taken without our consent and lost permanently:
Defend Your Rights and the Rights of Our Future Now
-
- Demand laws banning mass surveillance and social scoring by government or corporations.
- Reject digital ID systems that tie personal behavior to access or privilege.
- Support local, state, and federal efforts to protect privacy and liberty.
- Teach others that Liberty is not safe by default—it must be defended.
In America, you are not scored. You live in Liberty.
Stand up. Speak out.
Before the surveillance state becomes the new normal.
We must be watchful even when we favor the elected officials “in power” – and must speak up when our own Party-members enable systems that would be infused unwittingly due to our blind trust:
Liberty over Security
Principle over Party
Truth over Personality
The U.S. Constitution was put into place to protect citizens from the government, regardless of who is in office.
