Moving to America was the dream for liberty that Sau Fong O’Fallon’s family cherished, and was the happiest time of her parents’ life as they departed Hong Kong after leaving Communist China. Being born in Hong Kong, Sau was devastated when China violated their treaty with the United Kingdom, in which Hong Kong was to retain their liberties for 50 years after being handed back from Britain to China in 1997. By breaking the treaty, the Hong Kong people lost liberties in unthinkable ways, and many were imprisoned due to ‘new rules’ China decided to impose.
Sau recognizes with many others, who survived Mao’s Cultural Revolution, that the toxic Cultural Marxism has invaded our society and is being used by totalitarians to deconstruct our society. The weaponization of ‘Identity Politics’ and the indoctrination of the youth have been and are still being used to tear down liberties, under the disguise of compassion. More people need to awaken to these Communist tactics, and that is why Sau deemed it necessary to co-found Asians For Liberty, in this critical time of ideological warfare.
